"Pretend?" includes many small references to personal accomplishment. What I mean by saying that is that as I drive on this narrow road of life which God has so graciously placed me on, it's nice to look back and see how I've done. Did I run a red light here? Did I close my eyes and miss the rest stop? Was my music too loud and restrain me from hearing what God wants to say? Most importantly, did I miss a Chick-fil-a?!?! Symbolically of course, the road of life has stops and starts, rough times and smooth sailing (shout out to 309). It's crucial though to listen for where you may be called next.... Listen and don't let your self ambition determine your course.
"In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps."
-Proverbs 16:9
lyrics
What about today
Where's that voice I need to hear
Am I listening
With a conscience full of fear
This could be the start to everything
This could be the end
This could be a heart that's listening
This could be pretend
What about my plan
About this time last year
Am I in love with you
Or what I want
This could be the start to everything
This could be the end
This could be a heart that's listening
This could be pretend
Woah
Woah
Woah
Woah
This could be the start to everything
This could be the end
This could be a heart that's listening
This could be a heart that's listening
This could be a heart that's listening
This could be a heart that's listening
