about
For Spring Break, my family and I headed to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The beautiful weather, ocean, and lack of homework inspired me to write some songs. Songs 4, 5, and 7 were all inspired by this wonderful vacation.
"On Your Mark, Go" gave me the liberty to write a song that honestly may not do any more than encourage myself (Although I hope others can relate!). With the intent of boosting courage and strength, this "self-help" song reminds me hold fast to the teachings of my youth. There are practical "Don'ts" and "Do's" as I remind myself, and hopefully you as well, that we are all fearfully and wonderfully made and there is hope for us yet, despite who we find ourselves to be.
"Cheer up: You're a lot worse than you think you are"

lyrics
Don't forget to love
Don't regret the past
Dont believe the lie
Don't keep breaking your heart
You are stronger than you know
There is hope for you yet
You will never be alone
So on your mark, get set, let's go
Please remember truth
Please hold fast to peace
Please desire faith
Please, oh please
You are stronger than you know
There is hope for you yet
You will never be alone
So on your mark, forget the set, baby, let's go
Let's go! Baby, Let's go!
