For Spring Break, my family and I headed to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The beautiful weather, ocean, and lack of homework inspired me to write some songs. Songs 4, 5, and 7 were all inspired by this wonderful vacation.

"From a Hotel Window" was written as I looked out into a marvelous view of sand, palm trees, and a giant pool they call an "ocean." The wind was strong, blowing the leaves of trees to and fro, bringing the ocean's waters to shore, and pressing up against the glass which separated me from "reality." (poetic right?!)
